Declared bankrupt on 14 January 2025 when the Kosice City Court opened bankruptcy proceedings over Bukocel, after wages had gone unpaid since September 2024 and over 400 workers resigned. The site has since stood closed, with a German investor signing a memorandum in 2026 to redevelop it as a European hardwood processing centre.
